Fairchild‘s First International Palm & Cycad Festival This Weekend!

Coral Gables, FL, March 31, 2008—It‘s all about exotic palms and cycads and their wonders this weekend at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden. The International Palm & Cycad Festival is set to include walking tours of Fairchild‘s famous palm and cycad collections as well as plant sales, cooking demonstrations, palm-related food for sale, informative lectures and kids activities. Guests will also enjoy the beauty of the garden alongside the art of Fernando Botero, Dale Chihuly and Roy Lichtenstein. The International Palm & Cycad Festival will take place at Fairchild on Saturday and Sunday, April 5 & 6 from 9:30am to 4:30pm.

 About The International Palm and Cycad Festival

Learn about all types of palms & cycads at The International Palm & Cycad Festival featuring walking tours of Fairchild‘s famous palm & cycad collections, plant sales, cooking demonstrations, lectures and kids activities. The International Palm & Cycad Festival will take place from 9:30am-4:30pm on Saturday and Sunday, April 5 & 6 from 9:30am to 4:30pm. Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden is located at 10901 Old Cutler Road, Coral Gables, FL 33156.  Admission is $20 adults, $15 senior citizens, $10 children 6-17 and free for Fairchild members and children 5 and under.
