Model walks down the runway during Splendor in the Garden at Fairchild
FAIRCHILD PARTNERS WITH MERCEDES-BENZ AND NEIMAN MARCUS TO PRESENT 5TH ANNUAL SPLENDOR IN THE GARDEN FASHION SHOW
Coral Gables, FL, November 2015 –Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden is hosting its trendiest event of the year: the 5th Annual Splendor in the Garden on Thursday, January 14, 2016 from 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. The event is presented by Mercedes-Benz of Coral Gables, Mercedes-Benz of Cutler Bay, and Neiman Marcus Coral Gables and is sponsored by Ocean Drive magazine and Marquis Bank with support from Selecta magazine. The event attracts a fashion forward crowd of more than 400 guests, and proceeds benefit Fairchild’s programs in education, conservation science, and horticulture.
Neiman Marcus Senior VP and Fashion Director Ken Downing will present a runway show highlighting the Best of Spring 2016 with outfits available for purchase after the show at the Backstage Boutique. Following the fashion show, the 2016 Fairchild Philanthropy Awards will be presented to this year’s honorees for their dedication to supporting the Garden and the community at large. The 2016 Honorees are Swanee DiMare, Laurie Jennings, Christy Martin, Frances Sevilla-Sacasa, Lydia Touzet, Marie Ilene Whitehurst, and Gigi Whitman.
