Plant ID Workshop

If so, bring your specimen to Fairchild’s Herbarium and let our scientists uncover its secrets! Bring a cutting from your plant to Fairchild’s Herbarium team on the first Friday of every month at 1:00 p.m. and participate in our Plant Identification Workshop.
Fairchild Artists in Bloom Gallery Show and Sale
Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden will host its Annual Fairchild Artists in Bloom Exhibition and Sale. The Garden House will transform into a gallery featuring more than 150 original works from more than 50 artists and Fairchild art instructors. The exhibition will showcase botanically themed works in watercolor, oil and acrylic paintings, pastels, and illustrations.

TECHNIQUES IN PREPARING FLORIDA SNAPPER
Let Chef Chris teach you the basics so that you can make the most of our local fresh fish. He will start with how to select the perfect catch, filleting and last but not least, cooking the fish. He will prepare the fish using a traditional technique like fish in a bag and add a special Asian twist by using sticky rice and Asian vegetables. This fresh and healthy meal will be enjoyed by the entire family.
