Instructor: Hillary Parker
Learn to make your orchid paintings come alive by delving into their mysterious world. Learn the stories behind the pollinators and discover their role in the unique fashion, form, and function of an orchid bloom. Focusing on the tropical orchids at Fairchild and the orchids of the high elevation cloud forest, students with experience in basic drawing and watercolors will enjoy this class as they create delicate studies of orchid blooms in graphite and watercolors.
A note about your supplies for this class: For those students who have previously taken Hillary’s classes please plan to bring all of your drawing and watercolor supplies from her previous painting classes. For new students, a supply list will be available. As an option, for a $30 supply fee all art supplies will be provided for use during class time only. This fee would be paid directly to the instructor on the first day of class.
