Instructor: Hillary Parker
Make a splash and delve into the underwater world of aquatic plants found in the ponds at Fairchild! Students will explore, observe, and sketch on location throughout the grounds of the Garden and then return to the studio to create beautiful botanical studies in graphite and watercolors of the lovely lotus and water lilies. This class is just right for those with previous watercolor experience and will focus on combining washes and dry brush to define texture and details of their plants.
A note about your supplies for this class: For those students who have previously taken Hillary’s classes please plan to bring all of your drawing and watercolor supplies from her previous painting classes. For new students, a supply list will be available. As an option, for a $30 supply fee all art supplies will be provided for use during class time only. This fee would be paid directly to the instructor on the first day of class.
