Did you know there are over 30,000 different orchid species in the world, many of them miniature orchid species? Professional orchid collector and American Orchid Society student judge, Guillermo Salazar, will take you on a unique visual adventure to learn about the fascinating world of the most beautiful and unique tropical miniature orchids of the world which are perfect for people that lack a lot of space at home and suitable for our South Florida weather conditions. In this very interesting and unique class students will learn about light, fertilizer and growing medium required to successfully grow miniature orchids in their own backyard or windowsill. Live miniature orchid plants of some of the rarest genera in collections will be available for everyone to see, touch and smell.
