Instructor: Dr. Noris Ledesma
This three hour class will be spent in a practical session of the whip and tongue grafting technique; a challenge to master but has one of the highest rate of success. To many gardeners the art of grafting is a fascinating subject to learn. Dr. Ledesma will show participants the process of growing rootstock, nursery beds and finally in established orchards. There will be hands on practice on grafting an avocado tree. Please bring your grafting knife; or you may purchase one during class. The class takes place at the Fairchild Farm, located in Homestead.
