Fairchild Botanical Reliefs of Artist Naomi Fischer

Join Artist Naomi Fisher as she shares insight into her journey as an artist and gives insight into the significance of the botanical reliefs on the exterior walls of the Adam R. Rose and Peter R. McQuillan Arts Center. Fisher is a multi media artist born and raised in Miami. Her paintings, photographs, and videos have been exhibited internationally in such venues as the Palais de Tokyo, Paris; Pinchuk Art Center, Kiev; Halle fur Kunst, Luneburg; Kemper Museum, Kansas City; Kunsthalle Wein, Vienna; Kunsthaus Baselland, Basel; Deste Foundation, Athens; and the New Museum, NY.  Fisher graduated summa cum laude with a BFA in Photography from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 1998.  Fisher is a two time winner of the South Florida Cultural Consortium Grant and the recipient of a 2008 Knight Arts Challenge Grant from the John and James L. Knight Foundation to create and stage site specific performance based works in the South Florida landscape. 

Join us for on select evenings from December to May for a formative lecture series on art, conservation and travel from Fairchild experts and renowned authors. All lectures are held in the Lakeside Marquee. Light refreshments will be served. View the complete list of lectures here.
