Coral Gables, FL, October 20, 2015 – Fairchild’s most beloved garden tradition is turning 75 this year. Celebrate this Ramble & Fall Garden Festival milestone with classic festival favorites like antiques and books sales, cooking and gardening demonstrations, a tea garden, artists and guilds, and plant sales. This year’s festival is Friday, November 13 – Sunday, November 15 from 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Since its beginning, the Ramble has welcomed the community to explore Fairchild and participate in fun activities for the whole family. Join in on traditions like the Garden and Artist Marketplace abound with handmade gifts, home goods, and fresh foods. Peruse the Antiques and Collectibles and Old are Rare Books Sales full of timeless treasures collected throughout the year by dedicated Ramble volunteers. The Plant Sale offers more than 15,000 plants ranging from orchids to succulents and everything in between.

A Ramble tradition held to honor the memory of Fairchild pioneer and first Ramble organizer, Nell Montgomery, Nell’s Tea Garden offers a lovely respite for guests to sip tea under the shade of a baobab tree. And, a festival favorite, the 100-year-old Dutch Waterpoorter street organ operated by volunteer Dr. William Murphy is making a grand return.

As the years have progressed, science and education have become major driving forces at Fairchild. Visit the Science Village to see what Fairchild scientists and students are researching this year, including the Million Orchid Project. Students of The Fairchild Challenge are leading engaging conservation-themed performances throughout the weekend in addition to environmental education organizations providing hands-on activities for children.

The festival is sponsored in part by Whole Foods Market.

Admission is $25 for adults, $18 for seniors 65 and up, $12 for children 6-17, and free for Fairchild members and children 5 and under. Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden is located at 10901 Old Cutler Road, Coral Gables, FL 33156.
