Instructor: Margie Bauer
Would you like to make a card for someone special using the Japanese art of origami? Are you an experienced card maker looking for something new to try? Or, will this be your first venture into the wonderful world of making unique cards that will be treasured?
Do you have ephemera or old documents that you would like to upcycle into art, such as and old letter, a vintage poster, marked sheet music, wall paper, dated wrapping paper, maps from recent trips, or out-of-date dictionaries? A favorite worn out shirt, discarded buttons, a bit of frayed lace or an outmoded necklace? Or, perhaps use new printed papers that capture the sentiment you would like to express? We’ll make a variety of cards using old and new papers, cloth and haberdashery in unique ways. No experience necessary as you turn 3 blank cards into frame-able art.
There is a material fee of $5.00 payable to the instructor at the start of class.
