I gave a couple of butterfly talks at the Spring Garden Festival, and lead short walks through the Lisa D. Anness butterfly garden. The Zebra Longwings are everywhere, along with Atala caterpillars, adult Julia and Polydamas Swallowtails.
When new growth appears, so do the butterflies. While we are smack in the middle of the dry season, the native passionvine, Passiflora suberosa, didn't seem to notice. It is the host plant of the Zebra. As the season progresses, more kinds of butterflies will appear.
