Camps at Fairchild

We offer opportunities for kids, ages 6 to13 to enjoy out-of-school time fun at the Garden. we offer Spring Break and Summer Camps that are truly engaging. Each program offers hands-on environmental science and art-based programming  that get even the youngest camper excited about the natural world.   

Give your kids an exciting summer experience in one of the most beautiful places in Miami. Choose from environmental science and art themed weeks that will be sure to inspire you child to get outside and explore the world around them.

 

SPRING CAMP  REGISTER NOW

GOING WILD! KIDS ART CAMP WITH HILLARY PARKER (for ages 8-11)
If your kids like art, nature, and animals then this fun art camp is ideal! Join naturalist and artist Hillary Parker as we discover, observe and learn about the wildlife that lives at Fairchild. Students will create art portfolios of the birds, lizards, insects, butterflies and more and there will be a portfolio presentation to family and friends at the end of the week. On the first day of camp a $10 fee will be collected for art supplies provided by the instructor.

Join us this summer as campers explore nature, science, and art through exciting hands-on activities in the classroom and around the Garden! Programs run from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m daily. Fee per week: Member child, $185; Non-member child, $225

EDIBLE ART KIDS CAMP WITH HILLARY PARKER (for ages 8-11)
Join naturalist and artist Hillary Parker, as we have fun creating and illustrating some delicious edible art! This art camp is for kids who love art, nature, food and want to develop and build strong art skills. Your budding artist will have fun working in the studio and exploring Fairchild’s collections as we sketch and gather edible plants, fruits, and veggies. Back in the art studio we’ll create, prepare and sample their recipes! Kids will be illustrating their own Edible Art cookbook of new and exciting recipes this year from the endless inspiration of edible plants at Fairchild. On the last day of art camp they’ll present their books and samples of their recipes to present to parents. On the first day of camp a $10 fee will be collected for art supplies provided by the instructor.
