Volunteers at The Shop at Fairchild

The Shop at Fairchild has a wide variety of products for gardeners and garden enthusiasts.  The Shop is also the point of entry for many Fairchild visitors. Shop volunteers aid the Fairchild Retail staff in greeting guests, answering questions and helping visitors with shop purchases.  Volunteers may also participate in merchandising and special projects as needed.

Qualifications and Schedule

Like Visitor Services and Membership volunteers, Shop volunteers are Fairchild ambassadors.  They often provide a guest’s first impression of Fairchild. Volunteers have excellent customer service skills. Shop Volunteers work inside and must be able to stand for a 3-4 hour shift.  Volunteers work weekdays and weekends, mornings and afternoons.
