Tribute Giving

Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden is a special place to many people, whether for its natural beauty and peacefulness, breath-taking landscape design, or for its rich history in plant exploration, environmental education and scientific research. Tribute gifts are a wonderful way to celebrate the lives of those who have found Fairchild to be that special place. 

Tributes can be given for any amount. A special acknowledgement will be sent to the honoree or their family notifying them of your generosity; the gift amount will remain confidential. For more information on each of the Tribute Gift opportunities, please click on the following links: 

 

When you dedicate a brick, tree or  a bench, you can purchase a membership for the tribute recipient at half price. This discount applies to all one-year memberships except Fellow and Donor Society. Limit one membership per dedication. 

Tram Fund

Our effort to purchase new trams began with a generous commitment from Pat and Allan Herbert to honor Don and Terry Blechman. Don Blechman was one of our great volunteer tram drivers, and Terry is one of our best guides. Our efforts have been very successful and our goal is within reach. It would be great if we can honor our wonderful volunteers and provide all of our visitors the first-class experience of a great tram tour of our garden.

The Patricia Frank Fund

Patricia Frank was a lifelong gardener and was as much a part of Fairchild as the palms in the Palmetum and the aroids in the rainforest. The Patricia Frank Fund has been established to honor Tricia’s life-long passion for plants, especially aroids. Funds raised will be used to support a fellowship for the study of aroids. Donations are fully tax deductible and may be eligible for matching funds. Your contribution will support Fairchild’s vital programs in education, conservation and horticulture.
