The Sixth Floor Trio, Artistic Directors
The Sixth Floor Trio is a chamber group dedicated to the creation and performance of music that breaks boundaries between musical genres made up of Teddy Abrams, Johnny Teyssier and Harrison Hollingsworth. The Sixth Floor Trio’s vision places all musical traditions from around the world on one continuum as part of the same great musical language, and their mission is to seek to make connections between these varied musical styles in their repertoire. From Bluegrass to Klezmer, Classical, to Jazz, Ancient Music to Contemporary Rock—they explore it all and bring its energy to the world.

Leah Swann Hollingsworth, Artistic and Administrative Consult
Leah Swann Hollingsworth, violist, educator, and arts administrator, is the Associate of Community Programs at the Weill Music Institute at Carnegie Hall. In this position, Leah works most closely with Carnegie’s Musical Connections program, which brings performances and creative workshops into healthcare settings, correctional facilities, senior service organizations, and homeless shelters across all five boroughs of New York.

Sebastian Chang is a composer and pianist born and raised in Orange County. His musical language derives from the hard drive and hooks of popular music, the harmonic complexity and smooth voice leading of jazz, and the dissonant strains and structural depth of past and modern classical music.

Praised as "dazzling" (New York Times) and "a fearless and inquisitive violinist" (San Francisco Classical Voice), Owen Dalby is hailed for his gripping interpretations of music from across the stylistic spectrum. He is a co-founding Artistic Director of The Declassified, a pioneering chamber music society of New York's finest young instrumentalists, educators, and entrepreneurs.

Praised by the New York Times for his “catlike ease” at the keyboard, American pianist Julio Elizalde has given performances at Carnegie Hall and Alice Tully Hall inNew York City, theJohnF.KennedyCenterfor the Performing Arts inWashington,D.C., and Jordan Hall inBoston.

William Nathan Farrington graduated from the Curtis Institute of Music in May, 2006. Mr. Farrington (who goes by Nathan) studied Double Bass with the Principal Bassist with the Philadelphia Orchestra, Hal Robinson, as well as with famed soloist Edgar Meyer and has appeared as soloist with the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Columbus Symphony, the Aspen Music Festival Conducting Orchestra, and the Minnesota Sinfonia.

Described by the New York Times as “warm-toned,” Israeli Cellist Michael Katz has appeared as a soloist and chamber musician in various concerts and festivals in North America, Europe and Israel.

Rarely does a singer come along in whom virtuosity meets sensitivity. Jo Lawry at once tests the limits of technical facility and explores the furthest reaches of musical expression. Her music, steeped in the jazz tradition without being constrained by its traditional forms and functions, demonstrates a unique combination of maturity and inventiveness. 

Born in Greece, Achilles Liarmakopoulos is the trombonist of the legendary Canadian Brass, an eager chamber musician and a trombone soloist dedicated to an expanding, attractive repertoire of important works revived from the archives as well as standard repertoire.

Violinist Tien-Hsin Cindy Wu enjoys a versatile career as a soloist and a chamber musician, having performed with renowned musicians and ensembles in Europe, the United States and Asia.

The Jordan Tice Trio consists of guitarist, Jordan Tice, Paul Kowert on double bass and Simon Chrisman with the hammer dulcimer. Like all bands, they wanted to sound like one thing, not three and continually strive towards that goal.
