Afternoon Tea at Fairchild

Bring your family and friends and enjoy authentic afternoon teas in the garden. Guests are treated to scones, savories and desserts served by delightful garden volunteers.

The dates for each tea are listed below.  All teas begin at 3:00 pm at the Jean DuPont Shehan Visitor Center Ballroom. Prices are $27 for Fairchild Members, $37 for non-members and $17 for children under 12.

Nell's Tea Garden at The Ramble
Saturday and Sunday, November 13-14, 2010
Nell Montgomery Jennings, wife of Robert Montgomery the founder of Fairchild, began the circular Tea Garden on the lawn in the early Ramble days where sandwiches, salads and deserts were served with tea by the garden hostesses. Join us by the Gate House as we celebrate Nell's Tea Garden. 

Mommy & Me Tea

Create a special memory for Mother, Daughter, and Grandmother with our Mommy & Me tea.  Live music enhances the ambiance of this afternoon tea served at beautifully set tables by delightful garden volunteers.

First Ladies Tea

As we celebrate Presidents' Day this month our thoughts turn to the First Ladies of times past. Join us as we salute the First Ladies of the United States with tea. Patriotic tunes will further enhance the ambience of this afternoon tea.

Orchid Tea Room
Friday, Saturday and Sunday, March 11-13, 2011
The Orchid Tea Room will be open daily during the Orchid Festival. Come and enjoy a lovely tea after shopping for your favorite orchids. Of course, live music will be played to enhance your experience.
