When: Saturday, July 14, 2007 - Sunday, July 15, 2007 from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM


Come to Fairchild's 15th Annual International Mango Festival to buy your mango trees and enjoy mango lectures, smoothies, the world's largest display of mangos, the world's only mango auction, mango merchandise, botanical art, mango culinary demonstrations, the International Fruit Market, fun activities for kids and much more. Kid's Activities: Bring your kids dressed as pirates and they get in for free. And, they can show their mango pirate pride during the Pirates Parade, led by the Caribbean Bahamian Junkanoos. Your children will also enjoy puppet shows and theatrical presentations featuring mangos, mango art and mango lore from around the world.

Curator's Choice Mangos: The Curator's Choice Mangos selected by Dr. Richard J. Campbell, Fairchild's Senior Curator of Tropical Fruit, are mango trees well-suited to South Florida conditions. The trees remain small in stature, yet produce top quality fruit. Trees are approximately three feet and are in three gallon plastic pot.For more information about this year's curators choice please click here.

World's Only Mango Auction: On Sunday, enjoy the excitement of the only mango auction in the world while bidding on your favorite mangos. Join Dr. Richard Campbell, the Fairchild Tropical Fruit Program staff and auctioneer Jimmy Howell for a journey through the world of mangos. 

Admission: Free for Fairchild members and children 5 and under, $20 for adults, $15 for seniors, $10 for children 6-17.

Pirate's Ball: Friday, July 13, 7:00 to 11:00 p.m. Pirate costumes encouraged! Great grub, grog and swashbuckling music. Advanced ticket prices: Members, $40; Non-members, $55. Tickets at the door: Members, $55; Non-members, $70.Must be at least 21 years.
