PHOTO-TASTIC: CHILDREN HAVING FUN AND LEARNING THE BASICS OF PHOTOGRAPHY
Diana Peña

Parents, do you have children ages 9 to 12 who are interested in taking photographs? During this two-session class, students will learn how to use the most essential functions of a “Point-and-Shoot” camera while playing in the Garden and acquiring a love of nature. Diana Peña, Fairchild’s Elementary Program Assistant, will gently guide the children while they learn the basics of balance along with contrast and sharpness entailed in the art of capturing the real life image. While playing and learning, they will build their own album of photos using the various modes and functions of their cameras.
