Classes at Fairchild
Online registration is now open!
Greetings Students! Your creativity will begin to flow when you look through the summer/fall class schedule. There are many classes specifically designed for you and can be applied to your lifestyle in the garden, home surroundings and kitchen.
The horticulture section offers a number of valuable classes including a DIY on sharpening your garden tools, growing orchids, creating a butterfly and hummingbird garden, grafting tropical fruit trees, growing beautiful African Violets, beekeeping, and preparing your fall gardens for vegetables and tomatoes.
Would you like to explore your artistic side? Choose from one of several mediums to get your artistic spirit flowing. Here’s your chance to learn watercolors, pastels, botanical illustration, oils and acrylics or how to draw using pen, pencil or graphite. Get your brushes ready for a 3 day mid-summer watercolor workshop in early August. Want to learn the Japanese technique of Shibori? There's a 2 day class offering in mid-November. Gather a group of friends for a social evening of sipping wine and painting with watercolors.
Those enthusiastic photographers and iPhoneographers will be able to capture the tropical beauty of the Garden morning, noon and night. We offer a variety of opportunities for classes at Fairchild and also in the Everglades.
This is your opportunity to include Fairchild’s classes in your plans for the upcoming months and we hope that you will encourage your family and friends to join you in the Fairchild experience.
Thank you for your continued support in attending these classes. We look forward to seeing you at the Garden.
