Wings of the Tropics

Wings of the Tropics Exhibit

Three thousand butterflies. Let that sink in: three thousand butterflies. That’s approximately how many are on display every day in The Wings of the Tropics Exhibit in The Clinton Family Conservatory. Thousands of exotic heliconids, morphos and owl butterflies from Central America, South America and Asia will be performing their aerial displays of wonder all around visitors to the Wings of the Tropics Exhibit. These butterflies will represent about forty different species at a time, creating a living rainbow for visitors to walk through. The Garden is capable of displaying up to two hundred different species at once, and will be continually rotating species for education, study and pure delight. This exhibit truly is a one-of-a-kind experience, and is further enhanced by tropical plants, amazing orchids, and fish.
