Plant Sale Presented by the American Bamboo Society Caribbean Chapter
Plant Sale Presented by the American Bamboo Society Caribbean Chapter

When: Saturday, June 8, 2013 - Sunday, June 9, 2013 from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM

Where: Garden House

The Bamboo Society's Plant Sale will showcase some of the best tropical bamboo from around the world.  Bamboo can be divided into two types-runners, which are invasive and grow in cooler climates and clumpers, which are non-invasive and grow best in sub-tropical climates such as South Florida.

Bamboo is known for its aesthetic beauty and captivating look. It can be used for privacy, shade, as a sound barrier and a wind break. Bamboo is also an ecologically sound choice for planting in deforested areas because of its fast growth rate and high carbon dioxide absorption rate.
