April - Nature Nights Month
During the month of April, our Thursday Nights have a special focus: nature at night. Enjoy guided nature walks from local experts about insects, owls and unique night blooming plants.

Watch the movie Hoot adapted from the award winning book by local author, Carl Hiaasen, under the stars. The movie starts at 7:45 p.m. Bring your blankets and picnic baskets and enjoy homemade kettle corn.
Recycle your old garden pots, tools, half-used bags of soil, sand, perlite, lawn ornaments, trellises, leftover seeds, seedlings, anything useful for gardening, especially for organic vegetable gardening.
Urban Oasis Project will be receive the above items and put them to good use with first-time gardeners in Liberty City and other areas. Most of these folks have no ability to buy gardening supplies, but want to plant a kitchen garden. Urban Oasis Project will help them get a food-producing garden established now with summer crops and cover crops, so that they will ready to plant a nice kitchen garden in the fall.
Urban Oasis Project encourages good stewardship of whatever piece of land is under your care, and helps people to plant food plants for butterflies, birds, and people. It's good for the planet, too!
There will be Fragrances of the Evening Walking Tours at 6:45 and 7:45 p.m.
There will be Starlight Trams Tours at 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
