Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden and Books and Books present a reading and book signing by Carl Hiaasen, noted South Florida journalist, columnist and novelist.   

Star Island, Hiaasen's latest thriller, is a satire on celebrity culture. An actress secretly stands in for a derailed pop star and finds herself stalked on South Beach by a crazed paparazzo – and befriended by an unhinged hermit who was once the governor of Florida. 

Copies of Star Island are available for sale at all Books & Books locations and at the event.
