When: Saturday, June 13, 2009 - Sunday, June 14, 2009 from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Where: Garden House
The Bamboo Society's Plant Show and Sale will showcase some of the best tropical bamboo from around the world. Bamboo can be divided into two types-runners, which are invasive and grow in cooler climates and clumpers, which are non-invasive and grow best in sub-tropical climates such as South Florida.
Bamboo is known for its aesthetic beauty and captivating look. It can be used for privacy, shade, as a sound barrier and a wind break. Bamboo is also an ecologically sound choice for planting in deforested areas because of its fast growth rate and high carbon dioxide absorption rate.
Join Fairchild and the American Bamboo Society's Caribbean Chapter in celebrating this most wonderful plant at the Bamboo Society Show and Sale.
