April - Nature Nights Month
During the month of April, our Thursday Nights have a special focus: nature at night. Enjoy guided nature walks from local experts about insects, owls and unique night blooming plants.
Recycle your e-waste at Fairchild
Join us celebrating nature nights by bringing your unwanted electronic equipment this evening.
E-waste that can be recycled includes: computers and related equipment, copier/fax machines, telephones, stereo/audio/video, tvs, dvd/vcr players, gaming equipment, radios and more.
Representatives from the SIR company will also be on hand to talk about the recycling process.
Every Thursday Night in April: Help needy families start a vegetable garden and recycle too!
Urban Oasis Project will put your gardening supplies to good use with first-time gardeners in Liberty City and other areas. Most of these folks have no ability to buy gardening supplies, but want to plant a kitchen garden. Urban Oasis Project helps the underprivileged plant their own gardens.
Recycle your old garden pots, tools, half-used bags of soil, sand, perlite, lawn ornaments, trellises, leftover seeds, seedlings, anything useful for gardening, especially for organic vegetable gardening.
Urban Oasis Project encourages good stewardship of whatever piece of land is under your care, and helps people to plant food plants for butterflies, birds, and people. It's good for the planet, too!
There will be Fragrances of the Evening Walking Tours at 6:45 and 7:45 p.m.
There will be Starlight Trams Tours at 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
