Preview the 7th Annual International Orchid Festival. The preview is free to members.

A lecture will be given at 7:30 p.m., in Corbin A, by Dr. Henry Oakley, the world's leading expert on Lycaste orchids. The lecture is titled, "Orchid Hunting in Peru". There will also be a book signing by Dr. Oakley. 

In the course of writing his definitive monograph Lycaste, Ida, and Anguloa  Dr. Oakley traveled numerous times to Peru and other Andean countries to collect herbarium specimens and to photograph orchid plants in situ in the wild. The quality of these photos is superb and the insights into the environments that orchids inhabit is invaluable. Serious orchid growers will be enthralled, the less serious will be delighted with the marvelous landscape photograph of scenes totally off the beaten tourist track. All will be charmed by the witty presentation of the former chair of the Royal Horticultural Society Orchid Committee.

There will be a Starlight Tram Tour at 7:45p.m.
