This three-day workshop, hosted by Fairchild, will focus on the identification the common mosses of South Florida. Students will learn moss morphology, dissection and keying, as well as collecting and curating techniques.

Required Text: students should acquire their own copies of Mosses of Florida by Breen for use in the workshop.  The book is long out of print, but used copies can be purchased on abe.com and other on-line sources for $20–30. A pdf version of the text book will be made available to class registrants.

Students are encouraged to bring their own microscopes, if possible.
