Mai Yap

Creating an image with a palette knife is like sculpting with paints. In this class you will be mesmerized by the texture, movement and flow that can only be achieved using a palette knife. Ms. Yap will give basic instruction and frequent demonstrations on how to handle the different knives, mix colors and apply various techniques. Ms. Yap will use a variety of subjects from fruits and vegetables to still life and landscapes. In this class students will be using regular oils or water mixable oils. Please note that students already knowledgeable in the use of acrylics are welcome to join this class.

Section A: Thursdays, January 21 – February 25 (six sessions)
