Fairchild is thrilled to be able to offer this special photography workshop with one of America’s leading portrait photographers, Philip Bermingham. Born in Great Britain and based in Washington, D.C., Mr. Bermingham has well-known clients throughout the world, and has photographed numerous U.S. presidents and ambassadors, as well as members of the British royal family and other world leaders. His specialty is photographing children and families. His relaxed, easygoing manner and consummate skill enable him to bring out the best in rambunctious children and harried corporate leaders, whether at home, in the studio, or in personally selected locations throughout the United States and the Caribbean. The workshop will start in the classroom and end in the Garden as the light becomes its most dramatic. You will be shown how to photograph families and children with practical demonstrations, and how to create the rapport essential for a good portrait. Students should bring a camera and sturdy tripod. They should be familiar and competent with their equipment.
