The key to building beautiful gardens in South Florida relies heavily on choosing the right building materials for your application and applying common sense construction techniques to your garden design. Miami landscape designer, Carlos Somoza, will present both natural and man-made building material alternatives including locally quarried and imported stone, precast pavers, and tropical hardwood decking. Samples of materials will be available during class and a list of local building material suppliers will be provided to students.
