Then bring it to Fairchild’s Herbarium and let our Scientists uncover its origin! Bring your plant cutting or sample to Fairchild’s Herbarium and participate in our Plant Identification Workshop. Thursday through Saturday, May 10, 11 and 12, 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Fairchild art instructors and students will transform the Garden House into a gallery showcasing more than 150 original oil and acrylic paintings, watercolors and botanical illustrations. Friday, May 11, 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. National Public Gardens Day is a national day of celebration that invites communities to explore the beauty of their local green spaces, while raising awareness of the important role public gardens play in promoting conservation, education and environmental preservation. In addition to free admission, visitors will also enjoy a native plant giveaway of plants that were propagated at Fairchild’s nursery–while supplies last. Saturday and Sunday, May 12 and 13, 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Shop some of the most beautiful and colorful trees, shrubs and vines in the tropical world. Experts from the Tropical Flowering Tree Society will be on hand to help you select your plants. Sunday, May 13, 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Bring your favorite lady to a brunch at Fairchild, a lovely afternoon tea, or both!
